Renee’s yoga journey began in the year 2000 with a strong foundation in Power Vinyasa Yoga, having completed my Level One Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste.
As her practice evolved, she was drawn to the discipline and depth of Ashtanga Yoga, which she has been practicing for the past 20 years.
She deepened her studies with teacher trainings and multiple workshops under David Swenson, and continued to refine her practice and teaching through numerous trainings with Beryl Bender Birch.
Her journey also led her to the heart of Ashtanga—Mysore, India—where she had the honor of practicing with the Jois family. Additionally, Renee explored other rich traditions of yoga during a workshop in Bangalore with teachers from the Bihar School of Yoga.
For 20 years, Renee was proud to teach at Yoga Yama, building a strong, supportive community. Today, she continue to share the joy and transformative power of yoga at Yoga Sangha, where she operates and teaches from a place of authenticity, dedication, and love for the practice.
Renee is a 500 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher.

Danielle has worked in the public school system for twenty-four years. A deep love for children and a passion for fostering their self-growth has always been central to who she is. With a Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy, Danielle has consistently developed and contributed to school programs that promote positive self-esteem and meaningful relationships.
In May 2013, Danielle discovered the Yoga Rocks Program and became a Certified Yoga Rocks Kids Teacher (C-YRKT). She now incorporates stretching and breathing techniques in her classroom to increase stamina and encourage healthy living. She believes strongly that yoga helps children process emotions and become strong, centered individuals. Her personal journey with yoga has been transformative, and she is passionate about creating a safe, creative, and fun space where children can embark on their own yoga journeys.
In February 2015, Danielle earned her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Ashtanga/Vinyasa Teacher Certification from Yoga Yama and also completed training with the Sayville Hot Yoga (SHY) staff to teach Beginner’s Hot Yoga classes. Danielle has also earned a chair yoga program certificate.
She recognizes the increasing pressure on students to meet academic standards and understands the resulting stress placed on children of all ages. Danielle advocates for the integration of mindfulness and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into the classroom as a way to meet the demands of the 21st century. She believes that mindfulness deepens student understanding, promotes emotional intelligence, improves behavior, and supports healthy development.
Danielle sees mindfulness and yoga as essential tools for helping students become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and actions. She believes that when students are taught to be mindful, they are better equipped to show empathy, make responsible decisions, and form positive relationships within the school community. Through mindfulness and SEL, Danielle works to cultivate a more culturally responsive, compassionate, and reflective learning environment—one that aligns with a supportive, respectful, and nurturing educational experience.
Danielle is always excited to share yoga and mindfulness with the broader community and feels honored to assist others on their journeys.

Dianne was drawn to yoga from a very young age, but only started practicing at age 40 to help alleviate recurring shoulder injuries. While trying different styles of yoga, she fell in love with Ashtanga, with its emphasis on breath with movement, finding that it evoked a meditative state while building stamina and flexibility. When she moved to Patchogue she was thrilled to find an Ashtanga yoga studio 5 minutes from her home. It’s there at Yoga Yama that she obtained her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teaching Certification in 2018.
As time passed, Dianne realized that her true passion was in practicing and teaching
meditation. She completed her Yoga Nidra certification through the Yoga Academy of North America (YANA) in 2023, along with a Pranyama course taught by Swami Atmarupa of YANA in 2024. Working with YANA she realized she longed for a stronger theoretical and practical knowledge of all aspects of yoga. This led her on a path of Svadhyaya (self-study traditionally of sacred texts like the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads) to gain deeper insights in this ancient practice. In pursuing this, Dianne has taken 40+ hours of yoga philosophy courses through Rutgers University. She continues on this path of Svadhyaya, and gladly shares her
learnings with her students.
Dianne is a retired financial advisor.
