Ashtanga Yoga, also called Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, is a vigorous and flowing style of yoga. It involves synchronizing breath with progressive and continuous postures, which produces internal heat while detoxifying the body. It builds strength, flexibility, and stamina, while calming the mind and improving overall health.
Yoga Nidra is a unique meditation experience. You will be guided into a state deep relaxation while maintaining awareness. The class will move you through a few gentle yoga postures to relax and settle the body, followed by a resting pose for 30-40 minutes of Yoga Nidra. Experience the opportunity to leave class feeling rested, restored and inspired. All levels welcome
Poses are held longer and props are used to support the body. This practice allows for deep relaxation and body opening.
Erin (Parvati) teaches classical Hatha-Raja yoga as taught by her Guru, Sri Dharma Mittra. Hatha-Raja yoga (Dharma Yoga) combines the practice of traditional asanas (postures) with devotion to the Supreme Self, ultimately leading to radiant health, a calm mind, and Self-realization. Each class incorporates breathwork, asana (yoga postures), guided relaxation, and brief meditation. This class is open to everyone, but some level of fitness is required.
Kids yoga will help to improve flexibility, boost confidence, and enhance mindfulness and focus.
